In brutalism the structure is made from concrete (usually worn and torn from exposure to the elements) the first brutalist building was made in the Secondary School at Hunstanton in Norfolk, England by Peter and Alison Smithson in 1954 and some of the most famous is by Le Corbusier, a Swiss-French architect, is known for his proto-brutalist works. Among his most famous creations are the 1952 unité d’habitation in marseille, France, the 1953 secretariat building, palace of assembly, in Chandigarh, India, and the 1955 church of Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp, France.
My work

in my piece I used the selection, lasso and merge tools word 365 helped a bit as well 🙂
I made my structure completely black and white to go along with the concrete of the buildings i duplicated my buildings on either side to give it a sense of symmetry and two of the buildings have very distinct lines
I think the layering of the piece and the hierarchy is going well but maybe i could add something else in the background
my 2nd peice

After reviewing my two pieces, I believe that they have a good visual hierarchy and make use of strong horizontal lines. However, upon closer inspection of my first piece, the buildings I created are off-balance and floating. This is something that I would like to work on improving in future projects.
As for my second piece, I am pleased with how I utilized symmetry and layering in the buildings. However, I believe I may have overdone the waterfall effect and could have removed some of it to create a cleaner and more cohesive look overall.
